Frosted Fudge Cake | Cookies and Cups

Once the cake is cooled, cut it in half horizontally to create two layers. Spread a generous amount of frosting on the bottom layer, then carefully place the top layer on top. Use the remaining frosting to cover the top and sides of the cake, smoothing it out as best as you can.

To create the decorative swirls on top of the cake, transfer a small amount of frosting to a Ziploc baggie and snip off the corner. Pipe swirls all over the cake for a fun and nostalgic touch.

This frosted chocolate fudge cake can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the fridge if you prefer. If freezing, wrap the cake layers individually in plastic wrap and freeze for up to 1 month.

Enjoy this homemade version of a classic childhood snack cake with your family and friends!
