Receta de quiche en airfryer guiada por IA: ¿funciona? Usando COSORI TWINFRY con una cesta enorme.

well, inspired by my Constable Country place of work – they do a delicious Quiche in the Tearoom, I thought I would try making an Airfryer version of it at home.

However, with my containers I really had no idea on quantity so I asked AI (X’s grok to be exact – it’s free) to help work out the volume of my containers and quantity of ingredients.

It really did help, and as a tool I would certainly use again when converting oven recipes to the airfryer, using my own containers.

To fill two 6-inch diameter,

2-inch deep quiche tins,

you need approximately:

Eggs: 300 g (6 medium eggs)

Heavy cream: 325 g

Milk: 325 g

(you could probably reduce above by a quarter as I had a fair bit left over – eggs 4, cream 280g, milk 280g)

Cherry tomatoes: 120 g

Spring onions: 90 g

Roasted red peppers: 100 g

Cheese: 50 g (I would up this to 100g or 150g for a more cheesy quiche)

Basil leaves

Make pastry (or use ready made – whichever suits) I will link my hot water pastry vlog above, I added chives and black pepper to this batch which I highly recommend.

Once pastry is ready to use, halve and roll out for the prepped tins, leaving pastry to hang over (for trimming once cooked) prick bottoms and pop back in fridge for 30mins before par baking (using blindbaking beans – or rice sat in parchment paper or foil, ensuring paper is trimmed and isn’t touching the top of the AF) Bake bases 150c/300f for 5 to 10 mins until a very light brown – set aside to cool before adding filling.

Filling, mix all the ingredients together

Custard, mix all the ingredients together (eggs, cream and milk)

Once pastry bases have cooled, fill them with the filling and top with custard.  Preheat AF for 5 mins.  Pop quiches into AF and BAKE 160c/320f for 30 – 40 mins – times may vary – filling needs to be 75c or above once cooked and ready. Once it has cooled in the tin, trim the excess pastry (save that, it is a tasty treat!) and ease out of the tin, the parchment paper should help with this process.

Eat warm or can be stored in fridge for up to three days. Other options, freeze (3 months max)

My tins were stainless steel cake tins, 6 inches diameter and 2 inches deep, link above to these
