Berry delicious breakfast pop tarts… in an air fryer 😍! Fancy a sweet fix that won’t hamper your weight loss? 🍒🍞
Serves 1
8 Syns per serving (deduct 6 if using bread as a Healthy Extra ‘b’ choice)
2 level tsp reduced-sugar jam (any flavour)
2 small slices bread from a 400g wholemeal loaf
40g fresh raspberries, plus extra to serve
1 medium egg, beaten
½ level tsp icing sugar
Fat-free natural yogurt, to serve
Spread 1 tsp jam over each slice of bread. Top 1 slice with the raspberries and lightly squish them with a fork. Brush the edges of the bread with the egg and top with the other slice of bread, jam-side down, like a sandwich. Lightly flatten with the palm of your hand and brush the top and sides with the rest of the egg, allowing it to soak in. Using a fork, gently press together the edges of the bread to seal. Lightly brush the top with a little more egg and dust with half of the icing sugar.
Preheat your air fryer to 200°C.
Carefully put the sandwich in your air fryer and cook for 4-5 minutes or until toasted and golden. Lift onto a plate and slice into 2 triangles. Sprinkle with the remaining icing sugar and serve with the yogurt and extra raspberries.
TO OVEN COOK: Cook the tart on a non-stick baking tray at 220°C/fan 200°C/gas 7 for 10-15 minutes or until toasted and golden.
